About me

I create experiences. When I was a kid I spent my spare time designing theme parks, I constructed enormous blanket forts, I designed board games and hacked war games. I don’t want to be told how to play, I want to explore and discover.

I’ve been playing Dnd for about ten years now. I’m one of those weird people that started with 4th edition and then moved to 5th. I then went back to the earlier versions of the game – BX, Adnd and then got caught up in the OSR.

This is a blog about games. The type you play with people and in your imagination. It’s also specifically about Dungeons and Dragons.

Someone once described Dnd as a “game of games” and I think this suits the way I think of it. It’s the imagination games I played as a kid, with rules supporting the collective imaginations of my group.

One thing I know is that people don’t necessarily know how to play. Part of my job as a theatre teacher has been teaching people this skill.

Idk. I guess this space is about reminding people that we’re playing a game and just how we can do that. That’s why I called it ‘Game the Dungeon’.

It’s also a place to store my published adventures and games so go ahead download ’em – they’re free 😉
